The Bible tells us that the LORD is "magnified" to bless His people with "prosperity" by providing their "needs." (Ps. 35:27; Phil. 4:19) Jesus also instructed us to pray for that which we "desire." (Mk. 11:24) As we "delight" ourselves in the LORD He promised to grant the desires of our hearts which will naturally align with His will as we are truly given over to and delighting in Him (Ps. 37:4).

The word "prosperity" appears in this passage, and yet we must consider the whole of Holy Scripture - the full-counsel of God's Word - to define true "prosperity." Left to deprave leaders who are wolves wearing sheep's clothing, this word "prosperity" has been given a definition foreign to what Scripture defines. The enemy uses this misrepresentation as a tool to draw men away to idolatry, lust, and greed and away from the purpose for which God made them - to know and love Him and not allow anything to come between their worship and complete trust in Him. "Evil workers" who "mind earthly things" and are "enemies of the cross of Christ," now call us to worship at the altar of self - to lust after and pursue the fleeting wealth of this world. Yet, this path leads to the forfeiting of eternal treasures in Heaven (Phil. 3:1-3, 17-19). Those who love this world and the things in it are enemies of God and will not inherit eternal life (James 4:4; 1 Jn. 2:15-17).

"But my God shall supply all your NEED according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Phil. 4:19) The believers at Philippi were givers. They gave until it hurt and these believers are specifically to whom this promise is given. Note carefully the word "needs." This would include food, clothing, and perhaps shelter (Matt. 6:24-35).

Though Jesus didn't come to die to make His people lavishly wealthy in this life, it should be kept in mind that there are perhaps those who are especially gifted by God to be givers and to do extensive funding of kingdom works/ministries (Rom. 12:8).

What New Testament apostle was rich in this world? Can you name even one? The New Testament records reveal not one hint of any leader who was lavishly rich in material goods in his earthly life. The apostle Peter declared "Silver and gold have I none." (Acts 3:6)

In His earthly life, did the Son of God choose to be rich with material goods? No! Biblically, how can we justify seeking to be rich in this fleeting world. Doing such is rebellion and will cause the saint to forfeit eternal blessings - then, in the afterlife of Heaven (Prov. 23:4; Matt. 6:19-20; 1 Tim. 6:6-11).

The Word informs us that "The earth is the LORD'S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein." (Ps. 24:1) He who made all things owns the "cattle upon a thousand hills." - "For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills." (Ps. 50:10) Do you like barbequed "beast"? God owns them all and He will provide them for His own!

Though the LORD does take care of all of those that are His and blesses them, Christ was not emphasizing the possession of an abundance of material goods when He said He would give His own life for us and gives us life "more abundantly." (Jn. 10:10) In another place He commanded His people to "Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?" (Matt. 6:25) When Christ spoke of giving His beloved people life "more abundantly", He was speaking of the spiritual life they would receive as they followed Him, the "Great Shepherd of the sheep." (Jn. 10:1-21; Eph. 1:3; Heb. 13:20)

John 10:10 is a verse commonly siphoned out of its context and misused by word of faith teachers. In John 10:10 the Son of God was speaking of knowing Him and His Father, being one of His sheep, hearing His voice, and following Him (see John 10). He made us to know and commune with Him (Gen. 1-3; Exod. 25:8; Jn. 17:3; Phil. 3:10). This is why we were created and redeemed and this is the only thing we have to glory in (Jer. 9:23-24; Jn. 17:3). That's what true riches are about - knowing and following Christ. We have no riches outside of what we have in Christ the LORD who is our "exceeding great reward." (Gen. 15:1). While on earth, at times Jesus had no place to lay His head (Matt. 8:20). The Son of God told us "My kingdom is not of this world." (Jn. 18:36)

We need nothing more in this late hour than to draw nigh (close) to the LORD and He promises to then draw nigh to us (James 4:8).

Survivor rage grows deadly in Honduran prison fire

 As workers cleaned up the rubble of the century's deadliest prison fire, a collective rage built among relatives who gathered at the morgue and said the official explanation of a mattress fire was absurd.

Details of the investigation remained thin, and mystery swirled around the possible cause, from a crazed inmate who set fire to his bedding to rumors that gas cans were found inside and that guards deliberately set the blaze, whose death toll rose to 356 when a 31-year-old prisoner died in a hospital early Friday.

Family members said guards fired on prisoners to keep them from fleeing the flames, though guards and firefighters said they were shots in the air to summon help and to respond to what they thought was a prison break.

The attorney general's office said it was investigating all angles.

"It's impossible to believe that prisoners set the fire themselves when they too were going to die," said Felix Armando Cardona, 56, whose son, Luis Armando Cardona, 28, died in the blaze that broke out in Comayagua prison late Tuesday night.

In Geneva, the U.N.'s human rights office said Friday that an independent probe is needed and that Honduras must prevent a recurrence since it was the third fatal prison fire in a Honduran prison in a decade.

From the time firefighters received a call at 10:59 p.m., what should have been a rescue became a catastrophe.

Only six guards were on duty, four in towers overlooking the prison and two overseeing 852 people crowded into a facility built for half that number. Some 57 percent had yet to be convicted, either awaiting trial or being held as suspected gang members, according to a government report.

Survivors said they watched helplessly as the guard who had the keys fled without unlocking their cells.

"He threw the keys on the floor in panic," said Hector Daniel Martinez, who was being held as a homicide suspect.

Martinez said an inmate who was not locked in because he also worked as a nurse picked up the keys and, braving the scorching heat, went from one cell block to another, opening doors.

"He went into the flames and started breaking the locks," said Jose Enrique Guevara, who was five years into an 11-year sentence for auto theft. "He saved us, I tell you."

About 100 relatives of the presumed dead gathered in tight knots outside a barricade manned by police and soldiers at the Tegucigalpa morgue, their faces etched in pain as they waited for a public address system to call the name of the latest identified victim.

Family of the few victims identified by late Thursday were escorted to a cinderblock building where Red Cross workers in white suits unloaded black plastic body bags arriving from the prison farm about 55 miles away.

Most wore surgical masks to ward off the heavy scent of decaying bodies. Loads of cheap brown wooden caskets pulled up aboard pickup trucks, apparently donated.

Prosecutors' spokesman Melvin Duarte said 25 forensic examiners were working around the clock, starting with the few bodies that weren't too charred to have finger prints.

Prisoners who survived unscathed or suffered only minor injuries remained inside the prison. Those with more serious injuries were taken to hospitals and were trickling back Thursday. Some were being treated inside by the nurse credited with saving many lives.

Miguel Angel Lopez, a guard on duty inside the prison, said he called the fire brigade as soon as he saw the blaze, but it took firefighters 30 minutes to get inside.

Fire officials told The Associated Press they were blocked from entering the prison for half an hour by guards who thought they had a riot or breakout on their hands.

Relatives are suspicious because Honduras has been the site of two other major prison fires, in 2003 and 2004, that killed a total of 176 inmates. Government officials were convicted of wrongdoing in the 2003 blaze, which investigators blamed on the guards.

Prison officials and the governor of Comayagua province originally said the fire was started by an inmate who screamed he was going to burn the place down in a cell phone call to the governor, Paola Castro.

On Thursday Castro said the call was actually a message from someone reporting the fire and that she accidentally erased it.

Officials then said prisoners told investigators that the fire started with a fight inside a prison barracks over a mattress.

One prisoner threatened to burn the mattress if the other didn't hand it over, said Elver Madrid, director of intelligence for Honduran national police. Madrid said his office currently considered that to be the most credible scenario.

"They're assassins," said Pedro Mejia, a weather-beaten, straw-hatted farmer whose son, Carlos David Mejia, died in Comayagua. His son had been there for six months while awaiting trial for the attempted robbery of a welding machine.

The U.S. State Department has criticized the Honduran government for harsh prison conditions, citing severe overcrowding, malnutrition, and lack of adequate sanitation.

The Inter American Court on Humans Rights issued a report in 2006 recommending measures to avoid prison overcrowding and training and equipment to deal with emergencies and evacuations after the fires in 2003 and 2004. It issued another critical report in 2010 noting that none of the changes had been made.

The State Department said it was sending Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigators to Honduras. The team will include forensic chemists, explosives enforcement officers and dogs that can sniff out explosives and accelerants.

Howard Berman, then-chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs, questioned U.S. aid to Honduras last fall, saying human rights abuses involving security forces had "reached a distressing pitch."

"The most chilling aspect of this rather gruesome set of problems is that U.S. government assistance is flowing into the thick of it," Berman wrote to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Or let me rephrase this question, how many traders achieve consistent profitable results trading the Forex market? Unfortunately very few, only 5% of traders achieve this goal. One of the main reasons of this is because Forex traders focus in the wrong information to make their trading decisions and totally forget about the most important factor: Price behavior.

Most Forex trading systems are made off technical indicators (a moving average (MA) crossover, overbought/oversold conditions in an oscillator, etc.) But what are technical indicators? They are just a series of data points plotted in a chart; these points are derived from a mathematical formula applied to the price of any given currency pair. In other words, it is a chart of price plotted in a different way that helps us see other aspects of price.

There is an important implication on this definition of technical indicators. The fact that the readings obtained from them are based on price action. Take for instance a long MA crossover signal, the price has gone up enough to make the short period MA crossover the long period MA generating a long signal. Most traders see it as "the MA crossover made the price go up," but it happened the other way around, the MA crossover signal occurred because the price went up. Where I'm trying to get here is that at the end, price behavior dictates how an indicator will act, and this should be taken into consideration on any trading decision made.

Trading decisions based on technical indicators without taking price action into consideration will give us less accurate results. For example, again a long signal generated by a MA crossover as the market approaches an important resistance level. If the price suddenly starts to bounce back off that important level there is no point on taking this signal, price action is telling us the market doesn't want to go up. Most of the time, under this circumstances, the market will continue to fall down, disregarding the MA crossover.

Don't get me wrong here, technical indicators are a very important aspect of trading. They help us see certain conditions that are otherwise difficult to see by watching pure price action. But when it comes to pull the trigger, price action incorporation into our Forex trading system will definitely put the odds in our favor, it will generate higher probability trades.

So, how to create a perfect Forex trading system?
First of all, you need to make sure your trading system fits your trading personality; otherwise you will find it hard to follow it. Every trader has different needs and goals, thus there is no system that perfectly fits all traders. You need to make your own research on various trading styles and technical indicators until you find a concept that perfectly works for you. Make sure you know the nature of whatever technical indicator used.

Secondly, incorporate price action into your system. So you only take long signals if the price behavior tells you the market wants to go up, and short signals if the market gives you indication that it will go down.

On any given day, central banks of the industrialized world face numerous challenges, the latest being skyrocketing food and energy prices caused by global imbalances between supply and demand. It is great that global demand is pushing world economies forward. However, as the supply also lags, prices surge, as does the risk of inflationary ripples adversely impacting economies in both developed and developing countries.

Commodity prices are the main culprit, particularly food and energy, as the emerging markets pump up the demand, while the rest of the world struggles to keep up the pace. In China, for example, the country's newfound prosperity is sending its citizens to grocery stores, car dealerships, homebuilding sites, etc. Unfortunately, monetary policy makers both in the demand and the supply hotspots appear sadly unprepared for dealing with global inflationary threats.

Granted, the financial markets turmoil has thrown economies all over the world out of whack. The worst was experiencing a major shift in the global economic balance, with the U.S. economy slowing down more than anyone could have expected (although somebody should have!). Add to that the unrelentingly steep growth curve of the emerging markets and we could end up with an inflationary disaster of global proportions. It's no wonder that central bankers are losing more and more sleep as of late.

Talking about what is already happening is an exercise in futility, unless we can estimate when, how and if things are to settle down. One plausible scenario is that the slowdown in the U.S. is likely to cause slowdowns in many other economies. In turn, those secondary and externally caused slowdowns are likely to ease the demand for commodities, thus somewhat easing the grip of surging prices.

Yet, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) begs to differ, stating that the demand for commodities is not even close to tapering off. To illustrate, in China, inflation is at 7.1% or at an 11-year high, while in India, inflation is dancing around the five-percent level. Furthermore, the emerging markets are not the only ones dealing with the effects of surging food and energy prices. In the U.S., for example, inflation has hit four percent, while in the European Union it averages about 3.2%.

There is another worrisome effect of rising prices and inflation. Central banks are becoming increasingly worried about the negative public sentiment with respect to the job they have been doing, or rather the lack of it. Meaning, if prices and inflation are surging and central banks are merely playing catch-up without effecting any real change, what is their purpose then?

According to Jean-Claude Trichet of the European Union's central bank, "The difficulty in the present juncture is disentangling what is structural and what is conjectural." In other words, Trichet wondershow much of the global trend has been caused by structural imbalance between demand and supply, and how much of it has been the consequence of jittery traders, spooked investors and the existence of the overall state of fear. I'm afraid no disentangling will be necessary this time around because what has been going on lately in global markets is the result of both structural and conjectural shifts, neither of which is likely to resolve itself easily and without serious uphill battles.

So how do you go about finding out why they aren't buying? The answer is simpler than you might think. You ask them.

And then you use the information they give you to craft your responses to their concerns.

Stop being afraid of your customers and prospects. Recognize the power inherent in asking them questions. Your M.D. isn't afraid to ask you questions about your health, and can't diagnose you properly without the full picture. So shift your mindset from supplicant to physician and ask respectfully and thoughtfully every question you need in order to understand your client's situation. Your client will respect you for it!

When you know why they won't buy, you can craft your presentations to achieve one of the most important goals for any business: preemption. Preemption means that you demonstrate, by word, attitude and deed, that there is no one else in your field who can possibly serve clients as well, as thoroughly, and as confidently, as you. If your current selling strategy is not rooted in preemption, now's the time to make that critical shift.

Let me share with you the strategy of preemption in action.

My friend Bradley enjoys a successful career training investors in making money in real estate. His marketplace is flooded with competitors, even today, when the real estate market is in the doldrums. When prospects ask him how he differs from a well-known competitor in his niche, Bradley's reply is rooted in the strategy of preemption and based on his research as to why some prospects weren't choosing him in the past. Today he tells prospects the following:

"My competitor is very good at what he does. But I approach your fate and financial path with a much greater commitment to getting you there quickly, easily, safely, enjoyably, and more predictably than any of my competitors do. I protect your downside better, multiply your upside more, and show you more ethical short-cuts, quick fixes and fast-track strategies that you can use."

By describing himself in this way, Bradley is preempting everyone else. One of the best preemptive methods is to work candidly with your prospect to compile a pros-and-cons list. Have your prospective client draw up a list with the name of your product or service placed alongside two alternative options that he or she is considering. The rest is easy: Show how you're the optimal choice. After following the steps to preeminence we just considered, you can handle this task with confidence and clarity, because you know you're the best option. Business is a science and, as such, works much like the biomechanics of athletic performance: If something's not working, it's usually due to a functional problem that can be corrected. But you'll never even get a shot at correcting it if you allow your competitors to preempt you.

So, how do you preempt your competition? You can accomplish this by taking the following steps:

1. First, preempt any concern that's holding back your client by acknowledging that concern and overcoming it. Think about Bradley, the real-estate trainer I just mentioned. He starts by acknowledging the distinctions between him and his main competitor. Then he explains exactly what he can do that she can't.

2. Second, preempt your client's lack of confidence in the outcome by clearly stating your certainty in the plan and describing what the steps and results will be like and how you will deliver a better desired outcome for your client. In much the same way, Bradley puts an emphasis on the predictability of his approach and describes for his clients his process for protecting their downside.

3.
